EUROPEANS REVOLTING AGAINST “BABYLON THE GREAT”?

The article below details widespread demonstrations and worker strikes as increasing numbers of Europeans feel like revolting against the austerity measures being imposed by governments to rein in government spending and out-of-control debt levels. Spain, Greece, Belgium, Ireland and other nations experienced growing voter anger at what they regard to be an unbearable burden imposed on them.

Spain had a general strike while in Greece, trolley and bus drivers were joined by doctors who also went on strike. The headquarters of the EU in Brussels, Belgium was the site of a demonstration of between 56,000 to 100,000 people, depending on who was counting. Denmark, Germany and England are also taking austerity measures to rein in spending and government debt levels. This crisis can only get worse as the global economic crisis worsens and spreads to include more nations.

The key statement in the link below is: “From Ireland to Greece, workers united around the theme that they are victims of a debt crisis caused by reckless high-spending bankers undermining Europe’s cherished welfare state (emphasis added).” This is a very important observation. The banking system (especially the money-creating central banks) are the heart of the modern global economic/monetary system called “Babylon the Great” in Revelation 17-18. This prophecy also predicts our current global economic/monetary system is headed for a major collapse during the latter days, and current events indicate that prophesied collapse is drawing nearer, although specific date can’t be predicted based on biblical prophecy. If worker and voter angst and anger coalesces around anti-banker resentments, it especially infers that the modern system of Babylon the Great is in growing danger. The link below also shows that citizen anger is spreading toward governments as well. Governments like to stay in power, and if they are forced into a position where they must please the angry voters by sacrificing the unpopular bankers, that is what they are likely to do at some point in the future.

If you wish to learn more about why Revelation 17-18 refers to our modern banking-based global economy as “Babylon the Great,” I invite you to read my article, What Kind of Captivity?, available at this website’s articles link. That article documents that the origins of the modern banking system began in ancient Babylon, which is why today’s economic system based on global and interlocking banking institutions is called “Babylon the Great” in Revelation 17-18.

Before you feel like rejoicing at the fall of the current global economic system, Revelation 17 also warns that our current system will be replaced by a new global economic power called the “beast” system, which will likely begin as a benign “solution” to restarting a chaotic global economy. However, Revelation 11, 13, 16 and 19 all warn the beast system will morph into something very malignant, indeed. You can read much more about the prophesied fall of Babylon the Great in my article, Is Babylon the Great about to Fall…Ushering in a New Beast System?, also available at the articles link of this website.
